Situated at an elevation of 2,073 meters (6,801 feet) above sea level, Banasura Hill is the second highest peak in Kerala and also one of the best tourist places in Wayanad. With steep slopes, rocks blocking the path and knee-high weeds, Banasura hill trek are quite mystic and a bit difficult trek of about 12 km. From the top of the hill, one can get an amazing sight of the popular Banasura Sagar Dam and the misty peaks of the surrounding hills.
